I’m a husband and father, a Charleston local by choice, and someone who rarely stops being curious. I like a good meal, live music, a new place to explore, and a problem I can learn how to fix.
Family
The people at home know the whole version of me.
Work matters to me, but family is the reason I care so much about making a life around it. Home is where plans get interrupted, people need different things, and humor can rescue an ordinary day.
I value the everyday parts as much as the milestones: time together, meals, showing up, and being willing to change the plan. I keep my family’s private stories theirs, but their place in my life is no small footnote.
Interests and detours
If I don’t know how it works, I’ll probably try to find out.
That habit started long before I had a job title. Computers, electronics, repairs, recipes, and new tools have all sent me down a rabbit hole. Sometimes I come back with an answer; sometimes I come back with a better question. Either way, I enjoy the learning.
Live music
A good room, a real performance, and the energy of people experiencing it together are hard to replace.
Travel and the outdoors
New places change the scale of a problem and make familiar things visible again.
Charleston, the coast, and a camera
Charleston gives me a reason to keep looking.
Charleston is home. I am drawn to the water, the marsh, the working waterfront, the changing light, and the fact that the same view can look completely different an hour later.
Photography is part creative outlet and part way of paying attention. It makes me notice structure, weather, color, and the small details people usually pass. The coast and outdoors offer plenty of practice.

Photography gives me a reason to slow down, get outside, and notice places and details I might otherwise pass by.
Much of what I photograph is close to home: coastal landscapes, waterways, woods, and places around the Carolinas. I take that curiosity wherever I travel.
